David O'Shea, Director of Advancement

Born in Scotland, and raised in England, David O'Shea began teaching after emigrating to the United States in 2003. He spent the next 15 years in the classroom, seven of those at St. Pius X High School where he taught Economics and World History.

Moved by the mission of Cristo Rey, David left St. Pius and joined the faculty at Cristo Rey in 2016, where he taught World History, Economics, and Government. In 2018, David assumed the role of Director of Corporate Work Study, overseeing the school’s unique work study program.

David holds a BA in Social Policy and Administration from the University of Central Lancashire and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Queens University of Charlotte.

David is actively involved with Mustard Seed Communities, supporting young adults with disabilities and children affected by HIV/AIDS.

David and his wife, Dee, are proud parents of three young children, and he looks forward to further enhancing the school and supporting its mission.
